Maury in England to Mrs. Maury in Milton N.C., manuscript, manuscript "Ship" endorsement and pencil "12" rate (10¢ plus 2¢), trimmed across top & small repair at lower right corner, portion of original top back flap reattached out of original alignment., Very Fine, ex-Seacrest; with 2004 C.S.A. certificate. Estimate  $1,000 - 1,500. Carried by the blockade-runner Ruby (I), leaving Nassau Mar. 13, 1863, arriving in Charleston on Mar. 17 -- Lt. Maury was assigned to the commerce raider C.S.S.
