Lazarus, care of Capt. J. R. Mordecai, James Island, South Carolina", manuscript "1/1/65" date docketing at top left; right stamp with corner scuff which is mostly covered by postmark (likely scuffed by date stamp device when postmark was applied), otherwise Extremely Fine, ex MacBride, Hart and Birkinbine; with 2011 P.F. certificate. Scott No. 8 $4,500 on cover. ONE OF TWO KNOWN 1863 2¢ "RED JACK" STRIPS OF FIVE ON COVER SENT TO THE SIEGE TRAIN BRIGADE ON JAMES ISLAND IN THE CHARLESTON HARBOR. Capt. J.R.
