Confederacy, 1862, 5¢ blue, Largest Known Franking. Two pairs, a strip of 3 & an irregular strip of 4, all manuscript cancelled and affixed on an enameled box lid wrapped in blue ledger paper and addressed to Charlotte, N.C. with "Statesville, N.C." cds at bottom left, the box contained a hand sewn Valentine made of thread and Dried Flowers, all stamps have large margins except two which have small nicks, two stamps with trivial scuff, Very Fine.
