Confederacy, 10-Star Davis and Stephens Flag Patriotic, red white and blue patriotic design on Tennessee Independent State cover addressed to Miss Julia Reagan at Facility, East Tenn., "Germantown Ten, Jun 21" (1861) cds and manuscript "Paid 5 cts" rating, Very Fine; with 2016 C.S.A. certificate. C.S.A. Catalog No. F10-1  Estimate $7,500 - 10,000. IN OUR ESTIMATION, THE FINEST EXAMPLE OF ONE OF THE MOST SIGNIFICANT CONFEDERATE PATRIOTIC FLAG DESIGNS, ONE OF ONLY FIVE RECORDED EXAMPLES. Julia Reagan was the daughter of Brigadier General James H. Reagan of the Tenn. Militia. He was also the Postmaster of Facility Tenn. for over forty years. The town is now known as Reagan Station Tenn. The five stampless recorded examples of this patriotic design comprise four used from Corinth, Miss. and the example offered here from Germantown Tenn (currently a suburb of Memphis).
