Confederacy, "By Flag of Truce, Via Charleston S.C., manuscript endorsement at top left of 1864 yellow cover to Browers Mills N.C., pencil "Ex H" examiner's marking at left, bearing 10¢ blue (11), large margins, corner crease upper right, tied by "Charleston S.C. Oct 30" cds, Very Fine. Estimate  $300 - 400. Initially this letter would have been in an outer envelope with a U.S. stamp, but it would have been discard before being passed to Confederate authorities near Charleston.
