Bold blue cds with matching "Paid 10" handstamp on all over shaded advertising cover in gray for "The Hartford Fire Insurance Co.", cover addressed to "A.H. Stephens, V.Pr." (Vice President) in Richmond, docketed on reverse "D. A. Vason, Albany Georgia, June 1st, 1861/His son, Wm. I Vason wants it arranged so that he may be stationed where his wife may be with him or where he can visit her.", for some reason the cover is additionally postmarked with black "Richmond, Va./Sep. 16, 1861" cds & straight line "Paid" in italics, flap missing, Extremely Fine, a very rare first day of usage.
