1946 Centenary of Mitchell's exploration of Central Queensland 2 1/2d scarlet, plate 3 imperforate interpanneau lower marginal block of eight from the foot of the sheet with printer's imprint and plate number, wmk inverted, mint n.h., an outstanding and exceedingly rare block believed to be the unique plate 3 example. Note: The imperforate error emanates from the material stolen from the note printing branch in 1946 and is thought that portions of at least three sheets were released. (Image)
