Cat No:1787 Mass 1/2c

1787 Massachusetts Half Cent NGC VF Detail Obv Scratch. A nice coin w/ excellent color and detail for the grade. The scratch referred to is 7mm but very light and only clearly visible w/ magnification. Decent coin better than what one would expect given the NGC label description. (Image)

Cat No:1787 Nova Eborac

1787 Nova Eborac Copper w/ Liberty Seated Right Breen-988 PCGS XF Details Environmental Damage. Attractive even medium brown, the env damage not too distracting. Breen notes that on the 988 variety, rev weakness is evident in the center and on the legs of the seated figure, but those areas are very well-defined on this specimen. (Redbook lists XF at $1,500.) Cat No:1788 Mass Cent

1788 Massachusetts Cent w/ Period NGC VF Detail Cleaned. Nice coin w/ even medium brown color and decent detail. The "cleaned" designation is a bit of a mystery. Similar to the 1/2 Cent described above, this is a very nice example of a colonial coin, and much better-appearing than the NGC label would suggest. (Image)
