"SHIP LETTER / TANGIER" hs tying 1d on P&O picture postcard (ex Roger Hoskins), postcard to England with 1d sent from Saffi, not cancelled but accepted and not taxed with despatch and Gibraltar transit, "POSTED ON BOARD S/Y "VECTIS", / ON THE HIGH SEAS" hs on mourning cover to England with 1d, cover with invalid use of overprinted Gibaltar QV 40c and KEVII 25c in combination with GB 1/2d on cover to England with the 1/2d accepted and cancelled but no postage due, plus five pieces. French Forces in Morocco: Collection of 71 picture postcards, mostly with Spanish Currency frankings with a range of cancellations incl. "TRESOR ET POSTES AUX ARMEES" from Casablanca, Fez, Settat and Rabat, also cancelled-to-order such as French military cachets, telegraph cancels, bogus British cancels, etc., an unusual and interesting lot.

Hotels: Collection of covers, cards and postcards from hotels, incl. printed covers (mostly on backflaps) from the Royal Hotel in Mogador, Hotel Cecil in Tangier (2), Hotel Cavilla in Tangier (2 different), Maclean's Hotel in Tangier (four-stamp reg'd to Germany), unused Continental Hotel env. and lettersheet, Bristol Hotel cachet on front and on original letter, Hotel Cavilla envelope seal on cover with orig. letter, 17 postcards with hotel cachets (different types) from Hotel Cecil, Hotel Cavilla, Bristol Hotel Tangier (incl. type BRH-1, only known example) and Continental Hotel Tangier, 17 picture postcards of hotels, 5 bagage labels, an incoming postcard and a brochure for the El Minza hotel, a very nice lot for the social historian. British Post Office Tangier coat-of-arms cachet on reverse of postal stationery card to Germany, the same cachet on Oswald Marsh cheque to Roque Lyons for payment of stamps, postmaster letter with handwritten message about the issue dates of the 40c on 4d green & brown and 40c on 4d orange and a pc from a stamp dealer offering a supply of the 40c orange, real photograph and magazine article showing the B.P.O. in Petite Soco in Tangier, ca.1925 photograph of the B.P.O. in Mogador, ppc showing Palace de la Poste Anglaise in Tangier, ppc of a plan view of Mazagan showing the foreign post offices, 14 ppc's of post offices, letter boxes or postmen, a nice lot that would make an interesting display.
