1916/19, 1st Peking printing 1/2 C.-$20 cpl. set with *two* specimen ovpts: the usual capitals and non-seriff normal script below, but for or the $20, the small ovpt. is above the capitals, mounted mint in very fresh condition. The 1996 auction card had a handwritten note by the noted expert Peter Holcombe: "Both Marks 'Specimen' are genuine / PH". 1923, junk unoverprinted 3 C. (3) tied boxed bilingual "KITAI -.3.7" to reverse of red band cover with transits "LANCHOW 13.6.13", "WAIKWAN 13.7.6", "PEKING 28 APR 1924" and "TIENTSIN 28.4.24". Originally the cover was addressed to Waikwan but seemingly forwarded. Unusual non-ovpt. usage in Singkiang. Singkiang military commission censor tape.
