Used to Holland: 1855-63 1d deep rose red on cream-toned paper PAIR (partially affixed over right edge) good margins to barely touched, together with 1864-77 1s green PAIR and single, with wing margins, all tied or canceled by small triangle cancels on Registered envelop "from SWELLENDAM" banner blue envelope bearing manuscript "Via England p Mail str via Marseille", red "9" and "2/8", and "3" London Registered hand stamps, on reverse red oval SWELLENDAM JA 15 1865 origin. This lot and the next Triangular / Rectangular combination covers are from the DeGraft Correspondence to Leiden Holland the covers are among the great rarities of Cape of Good Hope Postal History with only 25 being about noted . Most interestingly there were none found in Grand Prix Collections such as C.E. Emerson, Huston, "Maximus" or Royal Philatelic Collection.
