1937 Airmail CRASH COVER, posted to Paris from town in “Moyen Congo” and crashed at Oran (Algeria) on 28 January, with stamp sheet margin with h/s “Courrier aérien SABENA / accidenté / ORAN 28 Janvier 1937” overlapping the cover, which has been drenched and another “label” soaked off, accompanied by provisional envelope of transmission with extensive blue crayon ms about the crash, struck with Paris cds (1 -2 / 37), both items despite their “roughness” are compelling and scarce if not unique (Image)
