Indo-Chinese PO Pakhoi: 1909 cover (vert fold away from stamps), franked 1906 'PAK-HOI' bilingual opt on P&C 75c violet & yellow, vertical pair, error upper stamp missing the Chinese opt, se-tenant with normal, tied by 'Pak-Hoi-Chine 20 JUIN 09' cds, addressed to Paris. Apparently the only known example on cover. SG 29(var), Yv 29(var). While such types of varieties ('tirage clandestin') are sometimes found on the lower values in mint condition, they are extremely rare on the higher values, with 40c being unlisted, and the only example we have ever seen. Spectacular usage of error multiple on cover. 2022 Ceremuga photo cert. (P) (Image1)
