1860 ST-JOHN-NB to BEACH-POINT-FARM-PEI, an unpaid cover dated NOV22-1960 and addressed to Hugh Ramsay at Beach-Point-Farm (Hamilton-PEI), routing via Charlottown on NOV 26th + forwarded c/o lawyer Daniel Patterson at Summerside + hand delivered the 13 miles to Beach-Point-Farm, rated COLLECT 3d ccy noting 2 strikes of the scarce St-John “3dc” h/s, the original Ramsay Sandstone House was inherited by Hugh Ramsay (at about the same time of this correspondence) when his brother, Norman Ramsay, died during the house construction, the house remains a PEI heritage site as the only original sandstone house remaining in PEI, Hugh Ramsay was a grandson to Scottish settler John Ramsay who arrived at PEI in 1770 on the English brigantine “Annabella”, a great PEI historical cover from a second generation pioneer PEI settler, VF est ($225+ US) (Image)
