1957 CANADA $2.91 REGISTERED MONEY PACKET, nice QEII franking pays the $2.66 rate for a 5 pound 10 oz packet (5¢ first oz + 89 oz x 3¢ per oz) plus a 20¢ registration fee, on a Bank of Montreal parcel tag from WINNIPEG on JUL2-1957 to BELMONT-MAN with receiver the next day, routing via WPG. & VIRDEN RPO No.2, docketing indicates the correct rate was $2.92 and the franking was short paid 1¢, nice clerk error item with F-VF est ($50+ US) (Image)

1965 CANADA FORCES AIR LETTER to GHANA, Military rated 5¢ from pilot R. Furneaux at the Ontario RCMP-SIOUX-LOOKOUT MPO, dated DEC5-1965 and addressed to Major William Bailey who led the Canadian Army Contingent assigned to the Ghana National Peace Council, he was a well respected Vancouver stamp collector and much of the lengthy typed correspondence is related to the Forces Air Letters of which this was an unwatermarked example, he also co-authored the important Bailey & Toop "Canada Military Markings" reference books, VF est ($50+ US) (Image)

1973 FUR PARCEL $2.55 RATE, a nice mixed franking on a Dominion Fur Auction tag pays the code-1 fee for a 25 pound parcel from PORCUPINE-PLAIN-SASK on DEC24-1973 and addressed to the WINNIPEG Auction, the tag indicated 11 beaver and 12 mink pelts were enclosed, a short lived fur rate valid from JAN1-1970 to AUG31-1976, F-VF est ($50+ US) (Image)
