1933 UPU 5c, group of three die proofs affixed to slightly irregular yellow piece of card (105x103mm), comprising at left an essay die proof in black on glazed wove (40x25mm) for the vignette only in an unissued design showing the main building and library only, at upper right a die proof in dark blue on glazed wove (45x24mm) of the vignette only issued design, progressive state, and finally at lower right an imperforate die proof of the complete issued design in blue with 3mm margins. Small edge stain affecting the vignette proof at upper right, still a stunning and unique item, from the estate of the engraver's widow, with 1982 letter confirming provenance.

POSTAL HISTORY: QV to KGV selection of mainly fronts, large pieces and postal stationery with a range of interesting mixed frankings, unusual rates and some scarcer postmarks and including 1912 green seed produce parcel tag franked with 1903 10c, 1911-22 1c, 2c and 5c tied by Edmonton double-ring ds and 'OHMS' printed undated white tag franked with 1911-22 2c pair and 50c tied by Ottawa roller parcel cancel.
