(C5) 50c on 36c Olive Green, OG, NH, incredible deep rich color and post office fresh condition, this particular stamp was purchased at the St. John's post office on the day of issue on Sept. 25, 1930 by Ernest E. Rustad, he has penned a personal "certificate" note attesting to his purchase of this stamp, only 300 stamps were overprinted with the "Columbia" surcharge and only a very few still remain in this mint NH post office condition, a truly amazing stamp and the first time we have ever offered a mint NH example of this Newfoundland rarity, we had to go back into the 1980's to find another NH example being offered and at that time it brought full catalog (Image)
