1854-1950s, Stock of British Asian material priced on dealer cards, with India including 11 fine 4 margin examples of the 1/2a blue (with good variety of shades and types), also 4a SG 21b (upper 2 corners cut to shape) and a few States including Patiala SG 6 mint, Chamba O68 n.h. and Jind upper marginal strip of 4 n.h. (toning on one). Ceylon includes 1866 3d SG 60 in imperforate pair (mentioned but not listed by SG), decent examples of SG 3 mint and 6 used, SG 121w, 303y and 381f mint, some KGVI incl. 50c SG 394a and 5r in marginal block of 6. Some Bahrain with SG 14 used, SG 14w and 1938 to 15r mint, Bushire SG 13 used and a little Egypt incl. Wedding £1 mint. (Image)

1859-1950s, Stock of British African material in 2 counter books with a wealth of decent material. We note strong Bechuanaland with mint SG 7 (2), 10-14, 18, 26 (2),28, 38e (2) and 44 with used SG 8, 18 and the scarce F1, a little Gambia, with Gold Coast including SG 4 and 1928 set mint, 9-10 (2), 11wi and 27b used (also Togo H37f mint). British East Africa includes SG 1 mint and used (with certs), 1890 set mint with additional examples of the 8a and 1r grey, SG 33, 37 and 39 with certs, SG 64 in pair (with different surch types) and Mauritius with decent used SG 23, 2 x 1859 1d red and SG 98. A little Nyasaland with SG 29 mint (very toned), 26, 29 and 51 used, Somaliland with 1903 set to 5r plus 5r with the unlisted but recognised 'Small R' type (with cert), Swaziland 1956 set and 1935 SG 23a in block of 4, Tanganyika 1922 10/- sideways mint and 1927 £1 used. Some Rhodesia includes 1892 Arms £2 mint and £5 used plus other values, Falls set mint, useful 'Double Heads' with mint SG 148 (cert), 2/6d, 7/6d and 10/-, a few Admirals, 1931 Southern Rhodesia set, Northern Rhod Wedding etc. From cape of Good Hope we note a useful batch of triangles with 4d x 5, 1d x 2 and 6d x 3, SG 3 cleaned and regummed, then with certs, SG 7c, 8b and 20 (also SG 18 mint) and SG 24b used. Mafeking SG 14 FU, Natal SG 3 (thinned), Orange Free State SG 101c mint pair (BPA Cert), a little Zululand and SWA. 1860s-1960s, Stock of British West Indies material housed in 2 counter books with plenty of decent material, ideal for breaking down. From Antigua we note early mint including SG 13w, 16, 21a (detached triangle, no gum), 27a (large '2') and 30 with used SG 1 (crease), 29 and 90, Bahamas with early used including SG 18 with cert, mint with some KEVII, 1930 sets etc, 1921 to £1 and 1938 with numerous shades and papers, with Barbados including early types, mint SG 103, 180 and some 1938 varieties (SG 252a etc), used SG 144. From Br. Honduras we note early mint (mixed condition) incl. SG 7, 10c mint (no gum BPA Cert) and 21 (2), 1906 $5, SG 137 in corner marginal pair pl.1 and $5 SG 125, a little Dominica including 1903 to 5s used and Grenada, Jamaica with mint 1935 SG 117a, 1938 issues (+ 5s SG 132a used) and 1956 set, Montserrat with mint SG 5, 1b (2 examples, one defective with RPS, the other with APS Cert) and 6b (on piece). 1867-1990s, accumulation in albums, stockbooks, on pages and cards in box with plenty of modern mint material, also a stock of Basutoland Postage Dues (cat £2000+) plus some large multiples written up, a mint study of the Seychelles 3c on 4c, some Bermuda key types, Natal 1/2d on 6d in block of 18 displaying the various varieties, a few better covers including Gibraltar to London Ship Letter and a lovely 1917 Papua Registered multiple franking cover and plenty of other useful bits and bobs.

1791-1961, Group of 29 covers written up in small box, an excellent variety from pre-stamp to mid 20th century and a small sample includes 1806 Antigua to Cirencester with 'Dover/Ship Letter', 1872 Dominica to Scotland with 'Dominica Paid' (2), 1907 Natal Registered to Aberdeen with 10x 1895 1/2d on 6d (showing many varieties), Sudan 1924 5m Stationery cover with 5m issue to Germany tied 'Abusabad Markaz' in violet and a 1925 'Cocoanut Plantations' cover. An attractive and most worthwhile lot, priced (perhaps a trifle optimistically) at $7500.

1880-1940 Revenues: Attractive and diverse mixed assembly of 100's of stamps, fragments, and documents with mostly Indian Feudatory States but some Convention States present, showing examples of items from Ajaigarh to Zaïnabad with 100's of different States present, with strength in Court Fee issues, an wonderful assembly, an excellent basis for study and potential for expansion (100's)

1886-1963, Dealer's stock of British Europe priced up in packets, useful mint Gibraltar including such as SG 6 (2), 11w, 13-14, 22w, 52, 62 (2), 115a (Jubilee 3d extra flagstaff), some Specimens including 1912 8/- and £1, with GVI issues. Used also, incl. SG 6, 11w, 62 etc. From Cyprus we note used SG 4, 10 pl 217, 14, 56 and 84, with mint incl. SG 4, 31/7, 99 and 102 £1, as well as 1963 Scouts mini sheet with inverted wmk. Solomon Islands 1935 SG 56h (cat £550), Bermuda SG 93a (cat £900) and 117ad (cat £1100), Jamaica SG 91s (toned, torn corner, cat £850), Northern Rhodesia 1925 set used (20/- faded, cat £900), etc., Mauritius reproduction sheets of the early 1d and 2d (2 types), attractive and quite scarce, plus a small group of mint Ireland with several examples of the 1922 overprint proof on buff.
