EDITH CAVELL POSTCARDS:
Specialty collection of 10 diff WWI and post war postcards primarily unused, all honouring EDITH CAVELL - the WWI British nurse who was shot by a German firing squad in 1915. She is credited for saving lives of soldiers from both sides & helping some 200 soldiers escape from German occupied Belgium. The postcards show Edith Cavell with her dog, monuments, her grave site, her last home, removal of her body, visit of KGV to her memorial, Mount Edith Cavell in Canada, etc. This would make a nice base for an exhibit.
