1909-1912 One Pound Booklet (1d x240) Blue on Pink Cover with Stamps of Victoria with photograph 'GENERAL POST OFFICE, SYDNEY' on the reverse ACSC B4(V)D, contains two complete sheets of Victoria Crown/A 1d Die III x120 - with 'JBC' and 'CA' Monograms - folded into quarters and stapled within, some minor perf separation, Cat $25,000. Sold at our auction of 25.1.2003 for $40,320. Ex 'Dubois' Part I: sold for SFr17,690. Of extreme rarity: the ACSC states that only the one example has been recorded. One of the most important items from the Early Federal Period. Arthur Gray assembled 15 of these large-format booklets. However, only one of them was complete, and only two others had any stamps at all.
