1932 (21 May) Do-X stationery envelope and card, each with a DoX cachet, canceled 21 May 32 and "Percu 6" and "Percu 4" handstamps, each with Berlin arrival pmk on back, v.f., with letter from "Deutsche Flugschiff G.m.b.H." explaining that "owing to a shortage of stamps in the ship's post office it was impossible to affix stamps to all the pieces. For this reason the mail clerk affixed a rubber stamp reading as follows: For Letters Affranchisement Percu Rm.6- and for cards Affranchisement Percu Rm.4.- . This procedure is in accordance with International Postal Regulations and shows that the postage has been paid." (Image)
