1851, 1 kr, orange, on letter from TRIESTE to LIVORNO, tied with double ring TRIEST 2/7, letter was sent as a printed matter when in fact it contained a handwritten invoice that was should have been franked with 9 kr, letter was probably transported per ship, the post office clerk was probably involved in this mail fraud, reverse with arrival cancel LIVORNO 5 LUG 1851 and oval S.V., top and bottom flaps are missing, stamp has good margins all around, a bit oxidized, very interesting letter, VF-XF! 1858, 2+6+9 kr, (3), 3-colour franking, 2 kr is a very intense black, the tariff is correct, on registered letter from TRIEST to NEUPLIA/Greece, cancelled with boxed TRIEST Recommandirt, Müller 2979 Rc - 20p, 2 and 6 kr are ripped not cut on one side, 6 kr is slightly touched, the letter has a horizontal crease that affected the 9 and 6 kr, it has been smoothed - the stamps were removed for this, on the front a red Franco cross was applied, the reverse 6 kr stamp for registration is missing, transit cancel ATHENS and arrival cancel NEUPLIA, postage consists of 2 kr local postage, 9 kr for the Austrian Lloyd + 6 kr Greek postage share and 6 kr for registration (missing), signed and cert.
