Illustrated advertising cover in orange showing beautiful depiction of school building and trees, flap with embossed "Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross" illustrated seal and Wm. Murphy N.Y. imprint, bearing 3¢ rose (65) cancelled by circular grid cancel, matching "Notre Dame Ind. Mar 13" double-circle datestamp to Michigan, original enclosure datelined "St. Mary's March 11th 1865" from a school girl to her classmate expressing hope she will return to school; reduced at right, otherwise Very Fine and rare advertising design.
