1860-1900 Mostly Used Collection with odd mint, starting with 1860 Chalon imperfs 1d carmine-rose SG 1 (cat £800) in pair, left unit defective and 6d Green SG 3 left frame of adjacent right stamp shows (cat £850), expertly repaired tear through middle. Duplicated perf Chalons to 1880 noted 1876 4d yellow P12 SG 102 (Cat £1,700) MNG and poor perfs, 1879 1/- Mauve No Wmk SG 117 pair (Cat £450) MNG, 1880 lithographs duplicated to 20/- with fiscal or cleaned fiscal cancels, 1871-2 Postal Fiscals 6d red-brown Wmk SG F17 (Cat £120 as MLH) MUH and 5/- yellow-brown No Wmk SG F30 (Cat £700) MLH. Array of 1882-95 high value Chalons with a few decent used and mint among the fiscally used incl 2/- bright blue handstamp ‘SPECIMEN’ SG 152s, 2/6d vermilion SG 158 (Cat £55 as MLH), MUH, 10/- brown SG 164 (cat £110), fine used, £1 green SG 156 (Cat £140) fine used and £1 green SG 161 (Cat £325 as MLH) MUH (couple toned perfs). 1900 2d (1/-) Patriotic Fund (Cat £35) MNG. Then heavily duplicated 1882-1911 side face issues unchecked used and mint including blocks and a few covers. (c.200) (Image1)
