1929 'Coffee Royal' Australia-USA (Jun 25) ANA printed cover to USA endorsed "Per Southern Cross/via London" at upper-left & "By kind favor of/C.Kingsford Smith/and/CTP.Ulm" at lower-left with authorised (uncancelled) combination franking of 3d Airmail 3d and USA 10c Air for American internal airmail fee, London 'JUL11/1929' backstamp; somewhat soiled. Rare. Previously sold for $1,700+ in a June 2001 Melbourne auction. [Presumably this is one of the 12 covers carried to London, as no mention of this cover going to USA in AAMC.] (Image1)
