28/NO/1867 Buenos Aires - Scotland, via British mail: Cover sent with international postage paid (single rate), with a British stamp of 1s. green plate 4, 1864 issue, with "B32" cancel of the British Consular Agency in Buenos Aires, London transit of 14/JA and arrival (backstamp) on 16/JA, VF quality, with Alberto Solari certificate. It was carried via steamer Arno to Rio de Janeiro and then transferred to steamar SEINE, which had some mechanical problems near Bahia, and had to remain there for 4 days. It arrived at Lisboa on 7/JA/1868, dispatching part of the mail to England via Spain and France. It continued the journey and arrived at Southampton on 12/JA/68, and since the cover does not show marks of transit via the continent, it can be assumed that it was carried by the steamer SEINE directly!
