Watermark Vertical 1d black & carmine with the Overprint Sideways Reading Upwards SG 39a marginal example from the right of the sheet, well centred, Port Moresby cds, Cat £4500. A rare stamp. BPA Certificate (1998).
Watermark Vertical on Thin Paper 1/- black & orange SG 44a with Overprint Slightly Doubled, lightly mounted, unlisted by Gibbons. The doubling is particularly apparent on the first 'a' and the final 'ua' - with the second impression 1mm to the left of the first - and is similar to the two almost coincident impressions found on the ½d black & green Double Overprint SG 38a (Cat £3500).
