"New Orleans Logical Point/ World's Panama Exposition/1915" multicolor promotional label, complete sheet of 25 (5x5) with interleaving slightly affecting the original gum which also has some gum toning on the reverse, otherwise fine-very fine, plus an attractive and very scarce 1910 cover posted from New Orleans with Jeweler Cole E. Adler corner card to Connecticut with a lovely single of this label tied along with 2c Carmine (#332) by "New Orleans, La/Nov 15/1910" machine cancel, very fine and rarely seen tied to cover; It is not well known that in 1910 when the opening of the Panama Canal was announced for 1915 that New Orleans bid for the World's Fair but lost out to San Francisco where the exhibition was finally held, these promotional items are rarely seen today.
