Cat No:298a

THREE PENCE: 3d olive horizontal pair Imperforate Between ACSC S35b (SG 298a), exceptional centring, folded between the units but mercifully not separated, 'JAMESTOWN/MY6/07/S.A' squared-circle, Cat $10,000 (£5500). Ex Colonel Harry Napier and JRW ('Bill') Purves: see his book at page 141. One of the great errors of the State Issues in the Commonwealth Period: one other pair is recorded, in the institutionalised Amy Vickery Collection in Sydney. Not recorded unused/mint. It is also worth noting that this is the only imperforate between error in the 3d value across the three issues.
