1861-66 (1875 Re-issue), 5¢ brown. Neat duplex cancel, choice centering amid wide margins, beautiful rich deep color, Very Fine and choice, one of the few used examples of the 672 that were issued, ex-Haas, R. Collier, with 1966, 1991 and 2009 P.F. certificates.

New York "8" duplex cancel, exceptional centering with evenly balanced margins all around, deep rich dark violet shade, Extremely Fine and choice, a great rarity - with only twelve examples known in used condition, with 2001 & 2017 P.F. certificates, the latter Graded (XF 90, SSV $42,500).

To date, the Philatelic Foundation has expertised eleven used examples with one other example being expertised by the P.S.E.
