1875, 7¢ reddish vermilion, C.B.N.C. "Hard Paper" Special Printing. Without gum as issued, vibrant color, extraordinarily well-centered with full perforations all around, bright and fresh paper, Very Fine and choice, signed E. Stern, with 2000 & 2006 P.F. certificates, the latter Graded (VF 80).

A BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE OF THE 1875 7¢ CONTINENTAL BANK NOTE COMPANY SPECIAL PRINTING. ONLY A HANDFUL EXIST IN THIS SUPERB CONDITION WITH INTACT PERFORATIONS.

Nearly all the Continental Special Printings where separated by scissors affecting perforations on at least one side. This stamp with full perforations is one of the few that escaped this procedure. It is believed that approximately 75 examples of this Special Printing exist.

1875, 24¢ dull purple, C.B.N.C. "Hard Paper" Special Printing. Without gum as issued, beautifully centered with full perforations on all four sides, lovely purple shade, Extremely Fine and choice, with 1991, 2001 P.F. & 2005 P.S.E. certificates, last Graded XF 90 (SMQ $16,000).

ONE OF THE FINEST KNOWN EXAMPLES OF THIS RARE CONTINENTAL BANK NOTE COMPANY SPECIAL PRINTING. ONLY TWO EXAMPLES GRADED HIGHER, ONE AT 95 AND ONE AT 95J.

The rarity of this Gem can not be overstated as the majority of these Special Printings were off centered and the perforations trimmed off on one or more sides. A far inferior example with perfs on all four sides sold in 2021 for over $28,000.
