1869, 15¢ brown & blue, type II (Scott 119), a fresh, Fine single tied by one of two light target cancels on a 3¢ pink entire (U59) postmarked with a Sep 9 Claremont, Minn. c.d.s., to Winona, Minn., Very Fine, it is highly unlikely that this normal-size cover could have required six times the 3¢ letter rate, but much more likely that it was intended to be sent Registered, but apparently not handled as such, with a 1987 P.F. certificate.
