Postmarks include Villa Coronado (Schatzkès #166G), Batosegachic (#151), Guadalupe y Calvo (#155), unrecorded Guerrero, Rosales (#165), Chihuahua (#138) and Santa Rosalía (#167). Guadalajara, Jalapa 4r black/yellow, single used on May 18, 1861 cover from Guadalaja to Mexico, three large margins, tied by blue cancel (used only for a few weeks, Schatzkès #293); and Jalapa cover to Puebla dated September 25, 1862, with the 4r in together with 2r rose, paying the triple rate and being difficult to find. Monterrey Montemorelos 4r black/yellow April 3, 1862 entire letter and tied by framed handstamp (Schatzkès #888). Horizontal crease. This district rarely used splits. Saltillo 8r back/brown, a rare stamp with 3 excellent margins, slightly cut into in partly at right, tied to piece by oval datestamp (Schatzkès #1355) with registration markings on both sides alongside (#1360), originating from a registered cover. July 1855 instead of July 1856 error in the datestamp, encountered in other items from the same date. Only 700 stamps were issued. Very scarce. NF $350. (Image)
