Ia, nicely centered for this notoriously difficult stamp, characteristic intense Plate 4 color, trivial brown spot at top, tied by "Washington, D.C./Aug ?1/1857" datestamp to buff cover to Little Fall, Minnesota Territory, which would make it the earliest documented date of usage supplanting the 9 September previous EKU, though there exists a 1 August usage, but the year of use has not been certified, very fine.
