1854-62 1d Red-brown & 2d Blue perforated ‘Stars’ issues. A fine study consisting of eighty eight stamps on album pages of with a small amount of unused examples, mostly used & some covers. Showing a selection of unusual cancellations, coloured cancels, re-entries and varieties on singes, pairs and blocks. An attractive lot containing stamps from SG21-36a well worth viewing, mostly unplated. (88). (Image)

1866 Hand Illustrated. A spectacular cover depicting a Herald with a 1d rose-red (cut to shape to fit illustration) attached to his bugle neatly tied by a crisp London duplex for DE.7.1867. Sent to the Duchess of Somerset by Major Gen Sir Arthur Ellis equerry to the Prince of Wales. The original letter is still enclosed which explains the choice of cover. A beautiful envelope and certainly one of the finest we have handled. (Image)
