image Jamaica. 1844 (28 May) entire marked "Consignee's Letter" from the London Agent to the estate owner/manager bearing a very fine strike of the boxed "Port Maria/ship letter" SL8 handstamp and on the flap (which opens well for display) a very fine strike of Port Maria type P3 c.d.s. (11.7). The address panel has suffered some damage and has been repaired. An important cover with very few examples of this ship letter marking known. Ex Mahfood. Photo
