Covers and Cancellations. 1859 (2 Nov.) envelope (opened-out) from an unknown office "Via Marseilles" to London, bearing 1857-59 1d. deep turquoise-blue vertical pair and a single, and 2d. green horizontal strip of three, all with margins in places and cancelled with ovals of bars, London Paid arrival datestamp (16.3) alongside the franking, the reverse with wafer seal and the indistinct Post Paid despatch datestamp completed in manuscript; crease through one 1d. and 2d., and the cover with some staining though a most unusual franking of the 9d. via Marseilles route.
