BELGIAN CONGO & RUANDA-URUNDI: "Davo" printed, hingeless album in slip case with the v. fine mint collection from 1886 to independence. High degree of completion with 1886 set of 5 to 5f violet SG 1/5 (£600), 1887-94 range incl. 5f grey SG 13 (£180) with 1988 Holcombe Cert. and 10f dull orange SG 14 (£650). Also 1887-1892 "Colis Postaux' handstamped values 3f.50 on 5f violet SG 16 (£1,000) & 3f.50 on 5f grey SG 17 (£190), though neither are guaranteed. Then 1894-1900 set to 10f SG 18/33 (£550+), 1909 handstamped & typographed opts. to 10f value, 1918 Red Cross set to 10f and many later long defin. sets & mini. sheets plus Postage Dues & "TAXE" surcharges. Also in the album, a parallel collection of Ruanda-Urundi issues 1916-1957, the 1916 opts to 5f (2) not guaranteed. A fine collection with a little effort to complete.
