image A RARE STANLEY GIBBONS/CHARLES PHILLIPS SIGNED DEBENTURE: 29 Aug. 1890 Stanley Gibbons large printed debenture for 50 x £500 debentures at 6% per annum to be payable on 1st Jan. or earlier. The document is signed by Stanley Gibbons and Charles Phillips, with an embossed 12/6d revenue stamp. The debenture was redeemed on 22 July 1898 and signed by Stanley Gibbons across a 1d lilac. An interesting item. Note: it is interesting that Stanley Gibbons sold his company to Charles Phillips for £25,000 in 1890. (Image)
