image 1932 (May 19) 'Harbour Grace Airport Trust Co" printed sent from Newfoundland to Germany and carried by Fritz Hammer in 'Dornier' DOX flying boat with Overprinted $1.50 on $1 SG.221 tied by ST JOHNS machine cancel, HARBOUR GRACE transit backstamp, flap missing and light corner mounting marks. Stamp alone Cat. £225 (off cover). The cover is addressed to George Endres who flew from Newfoundland to Hungary in 1931. Endres was killed in a crash whilst this cover was in transit. (Image)
