1850-57 Half-Lengths original contract whereby James Campbell & James Fergusson were appointed to make further printings of the 1d & 3d Half-Lengths and the 2d Queen-on-Throne from new stones derived from Thomas Ham's dies, rather aged with significant internal separation; also a piece of gummed paper (142x224mm) headed "Specimen/of gumming" signed below by "James Stirling Campbell", "Rudolph Hachmann" & "James Fergusson" & additionally by witnesses to their signatures, folded towards the base & a bit soiled. Ex Rodney Perry and Ken Barelli. Rodney Perry Certificate (2006). Important historic documents attesting to the conditions for private printing of Victoria's early stamps.

1850-57 Half-Lengths Campbell & Fergusson 3d Prussian blue SG 30 with the famous Thumbprint Flaw at U/L & into the Margins, large even margins, some paper inconsistencies characteristic of the sub-standard stock used for this issue, Cat £110++.
1857-63 Emblems Typo from Electrotypes by Robinson Rouletted 5½-6½ 1d yellow-green SG 72, a deep shade, rouletted clear of the design on all sides, tiny speck of gum-loss at upper-right, large-part (brown) o.g., undercatalogued at £475. Superb! An underrated stamp, of which this is probably the finest recorded unused example. [We made a similar claim in respect of Ken Barelli's example - off-centre & stained by the gum: graded 'B' - that sold at our auction of 2.5.2014 for $1745. This example is far superior]

1859 Perf 12 by Robinson 1d yellow-green vertical pair Imperforate Horizontally SG 76a, separated clear of the design at top & base but with a tear 80% across the lower unit, with 1/- Octagonal, all tied to piece by Original State of BN '111' of Steiglitz & American arrival cds, grossly undercatalogued at £450. RPSofV Certificate (2021). [Geoff Kellow at page 120 records three examples - one in the Royal Collection - & states another has been "reported". This is an extraordinary 'twin' of Max Watson's very similar piece (but with an undamaged pair & the 1/- at the top) that sold at our auction of 3.4.2017 for $19,200. Ken Barelli's off-paper pair sold at our auction of 2.5.2014 for $4370, and again in Gary Diffen's sale in 2018 for £2400]

1884-96 Large Stamp Duty £5 pink to £9 apple-green/pale green SG 248-252, apparently with none of the usual pinholes, 1880-81 manuscript cancels, Cat £950 for fiscals. NB: no genuine postally used examples of any of these values have been recorded, which means that Gibbons listing of the £5 used is an error.

1884-96 Ultra-High Values Recess £100 die proof in black on thin card (75x32mm), small nick at the base is well clear of the design & an insignificant hinge thin. A brilliant example of the printer's skill. Chris Ceremuga Certificate (2019) states "great rarity - only example known in private hands (plus another in the Royal Collection)".
