13 Jun. 1929 use of 5c Stationery Envelope uprated with 5c Air Mail (Scott C11), flown on Transatlantic flight by French monoplane "Yellow Bird" destined for Paris with 'FIRST FRENCH TRANSATLANTIC FLIGHT' cachet, forced to land at Comilias, Spain due to a fuel shortage, receiving a 'COMILIAS/14JUN/29' transit datestamp, Paris 'BOURGET-AVIATION/16-6/29' arrival datestamp, signed by the French crew of Armand Lotti, Jean Assollant & Rene Lefevre. Only 100 envelopes were carried.
This was also the first flight to carry a documented stowaway, Arthur Schreiber, who was discovered by the crew midway across the Atlantic, and was given a wonderful reception by the French crowd on arrival in Paris.

30 Oct. 1936 New York - London flown cover, carried by JAMES MOLLISON in his Bellanca "Miss Dorothy" making the first direct flight between the two cities; with 6c Wings tied by BROOKLYN cds and GB ½d (2) + 1½d tied by CROYDON arrival datestamps. Signed at left by the pilot and accompanied by the original enclosure, a postcard also signed by Mollison with the dated statement "This envelope was carried by me from New York to Croydon on my Record Trans-Atlantic Flight.
