Some strength in 19th. & early 20th.C. issues incl. 40+ imperfs. and 80+ curved & straight label perf. types. Extensive 'Carlos', 'Manuel' & 'Ceres' types both mint & used, 1924 'Camoens' set mint and a range of mint & used 1925 Branco issues and the three 'Independence' sets, mostly complete. Collection includes most of the better mint 1940 sets and mini sheets incl. 1940 Legion set of 8 (SG £200), 1940 Centenaries set of 8 and mini sheet (SG £380), 1940 Rowland Hill set of 8 and mini sheet, 1941 Costumes set of 10 & mini sheet, 1945 Navigators set of 10, 1954 Carmona set of 8 and mini sheet (SG £550), 1946 Castles set of 8 (£225), 1947 Costumes set of 8 and mini sheet (SG £550), etc. All mint stamps and mini sheets are mounted, but overall a very valuable collection.
