image BLACK OVERPRINT: 'M.R.' on De La Rue Crown/SA Wmk Perf 10 2d brown-orange from the left of the right-hand pane with marginal vertical watermark line at left, tied by Diamond-Numeral '71' of 'GOOLWA' (cds of MR18/72 alongside) to OHMS cover without imprint, to the Commissioner for Public Works, part-GPO arrival b/s, flap removed with related damage at the top. The stamp is rated R. The only M.R.' cover in Anthony Presgrave's Census. Ex AE Fryar, and noted by Ron Butler at page 114 as evidencing the c.1870 transfer of the Goolwa Tramway to the Railways Department.
