POSTAL CARDS: 1899-1905 1d dark brown postal card, local Die (with spur at lower R corner), overprinted with an ornate square design in four different shades of brown. Annotations incl. manuscript "(c)' and "try Black", believed to be a UNIQUE printer's essay to colour match a new printing. Includes a mint unused example as issued, for comparison. With a vertical crease and 'kiss' printing on the reverse. (2 items).
