1856-60 Imperf Small Diadems 1d orange-vermilion, 2d blue & 3d dull green SG 107 112 & 117, each with good to large margins and the 1d with a fragment of the adjoining unit above, Cat £160. Superb trio!
1860-72 Perforated Diadems Perf 13 8d red-orange SG 167a, cut from the sheet at right to preserve the design, minor imperfections, large-part o.g., Cat £550.
1885-86 High Value Revenues Overprinted 'POSTAGE' Perf 12 10/- lilac & claret on blued paper SG 241b horizontal strip of 3 with 'Specimen' overprints, full unmounted o.g. A rare multiple from the original 1891 UPU distribution.
1897 Silver Jubilee Charity 1d (1/-) & 2½d (2/6d) SG 280-1 overprinted 'Specimen' in Red, well centred, the 2/6d with a few characteristic rough perfs, full unmounted o.g., Cat £425. (2)
1897-99 Diamond Jubilee die proofs on thin glazed card comprising 1d & 2d in bright blue and 2d in blue-violet, large margins. Superb! [Cut-down from sheetlets of 3 die proofs] (3)
1898-99 New Colours 6d yellow-orange Perf 12 SG 297g marginal block of 4 from the top of the sheet, the gum a little crazed but very lightly mounted or unmounted, Cat £152++.
1905-10 Wmk Small Crown/A 2/6d Lyrebird ACSC N64 (SG 349) corner example from the U/L of the sheet, exceptional centring, full unmounted o.g., Cat $75 (£90+) for mounted. Superb!
POSTAGE DUES: 1891-97 1d pale green Perf 11½x12 ACSC ND4 (SG D2f) irregular block of 5 (3x2, missing the L/L unit) from the right of the sheet, large-part o.g. with the lower units being unmounted, Cat $1000++ (£130++) for mounted singles.
OFFICIAL STAMPS: 1879-85 8d yellow with 'O S' Overprint in Red SG O9, a huge stamp from the base of the sheet, Sydney duplex of FE5/80 clearly across the 'O' of 'O S', a little stained, Cat £650. A scarce stamp, that is not recorded unused. [Most stamps offered as SG O9 are reprints]
OFFICIAL STAMPS: 1882-85 Wmk '40' (inverted) 3d yellow-green Perf 12 block of 4 with both right-hand units with No Watermark, large-part o.g. Unlisted by Gibbons, who also don't list the No Watermark varieties in the 1907 issue on Victorian paper.
OFFICIAL STAMPS: 1888-90 Centennial 5/- Map with 'O S' Overprint in Red as SG O47 but the later Perf 12 reprint, CTO with 'GPO'-in-concentric-ovals which is much scarcer than the similar 'NSW' cancel. [An example sold at a Sydney auction in 2020 for $1500]
REPRINTS: 'POSTAGE' in Blue 10/- with Seriffed 'O S' & 'Specimen' Overprints both Double One Albino, full unmounted o.g. Superb! [Both overprints being doubled indicates they were printed in the same process]
RAILWAY STAMPS: 1929 New Design 1d turquoise to 10/- grey all for 'SYDNEY', the 1d creased & the 9d with a corner fault otherwise very fine, lightly mounted, Elsmore Online Cat $1300.
