RARE QV REGD EXPRESS COVER + KEVII EXPRESS "TO CATCH 2.20 FROM KINGS X TO YORK" COVER; Attractive 20 Oct. 1900 env. from Balham to Maidstone sent both regd & Express (rare thus) with six 1d Lilacs (neatly arranged to show the 3d Express + 2d Reg Fee + 1d postage rates) tied by Balham cds's and also with red "M-No.55/POST OFFICE/EXPRESS" label and perf. label with blue oval "R/Fee paid" (tied by oval d.s.). Plus 28 Oct. 1902 env. (some dusting) from St. Martins le Grand (Head PO) in London to "Bootham, York" with KEVII 4d tied by large lilac oval-framed "EXPRESS" and by cds but unusually endorsed both "Express to catch 2.20 from Kings X to York" (by sender) and "To be Handed to P.O. messenger at York" (by P.O.?) on the front.
