'PAID AT' & 'PAID' postmarks 1950s-90s accumulation of mostly CDSs and some machines on piece, the later ones struck in black and often on stamps (ie used in error), plus 180+ covers including a number of attractive illustrated advertising envelopes for Dulux, Hardy's Tintara Fine Wines, United Motors Vauxhall & Pontiac, etc, noted 1956 'PAID AT GOUGER STREET' cds with price '3½d' in dateline, variety of 'price turned off', 'time added', 'small dateline', etc formats, some duplication and a few covers annotated (pencil notes rubbed-out), condition a little variable but many fine to very fine. Weighs kg. Excellent introduction or expansion opportunity.

Highly-rated items comprising 'BOOKPURNONG/OC15/04/SA' squared circle (rated RRR; closed 1917) superb b/s on large-part OHMS cover, 'CARROW/21SE14/STH AUSTRALIA' cds (rated RRR; renamed Port Neill 1/12/1933) on Kangaroo 1d on Shierlaw front, 'HECTORVILLE/FE10/08/S-A' squared circle (rated RRRR) on 1d red on PPC, and 'MT LYND[HURST]/22JE[ ]/S.A' cds (rated RRRR; closed 30.6.1930) on KGV 1d red on Shierlaw front, condition fine to very fine.

Berri: manuscript "Berri" in indelible pencil across poor 'BERRI' cds of 30MR16 on Kangaroos 2d pair (both damaged) registered Shierlaw front with large blank R label. Ex John Bell: illustrated in the Handbook at page B19. [Indelible pencil markings of this style were applied at the GPO to uncancelled or poorly cancelled registered mail]
Cowell: 'PAID-COWELL/1AP15/STH AUST' fine strike on Kangaroo 1d red on Shierlaw front. Rated RRRRR: the Handbook records only one usage, in 1913. Ex John Bell: sold at the Prestige auction of 14.11.2014 for $278.
