1924 ENVELOPE FLOWN FROM BIRMINGHAM TO LONDON DURING THE BRITISH INDUSTRIES FAIR: 12 May 1924 env. carried on the 1st Birmingham to London flight by the newly formed Imperial Airways as part of the British Empire Exhibition taking place in London at the same time (See The Aero Field, p.32 Mar. 1949: Mail was flown from London to Birmingham where it was posted back to London). Addressed to Harold Hayman (co-founder of the Aerophilatelic Club of London). ex Oakey (1948), believed to be one of only 2 known at the time. Rare. Also an unused 1933 Hull to Grimsby flight label. Bajac from the Seine, Paris to London (landing on the Thames. Also a similar white card no. 011 addressed to the pilot flown from London to Paris with GB 1½d & 2d and French 20c p. due.
