'London / Paid' transit in red (Oct 18). Carried on the Booth Line Steamer "City of Rio de Janeiro" with manuscript '2/4' in blue for a letter between 4 and 8 adarmes. Framed 'P.P.' alongside and reverse with 'France / Midi' cds, Paris cds, Marseille cds (Sept 15) and Buenos Aires arrival (Oct 12). Rated "6/2" in blue manuscript for a letter between 20 and 24 adarmes. Illustrated in Edition D'Or 59 on page 134. Some aging to perfs. but a spectacular and rare high franking.
